Setting Up Wireless on Vista

1.       Click Start, Network                                                                                      

2.       Click the Network and Sharing Center button in the bar.

3.       Click on the Manage Wireless Networks navigation link on the left side of the window.

4.       Find MUC Wireless from the list and move it up with the Move up button.

5.       Go back to the Network Sharing Center and click Connect to a network.

6.       Clicking this will open the Connect to a Network box.  Find MUC Wireless and click the Connect button.                                                                               

7.       If you do not connect you can check the settings by right clicking the MUC Wireless network and choose Properties.

8.       On the MUC Wireless Properties security tab, ensure Security type: 802.1x, Encryption Type: WEP,  and Network Authentication Method  is PEAP.

9.       After verifying the settings, try to connect to the network again.

10.   If at any time you are prompted for credentials, enter your campus\username and password.
